■ What should you do if you see "SOS" or "SOS only" on your iPhone?

Modified on Fri, 13 Oct, 2023 at 3:18 PM

If the status bar shows 'SOS' or 'SOS only', the device is not connected to the network.

*This may appear on plans of Australia, Canada and the USA.
Please check the following items.

① Check if the area has 4G signal coverage.
In rural areas, in the mountains or sea, or even in urban areas, in buildings or underground, the signal may not be received and the line may not be connected. Please check if you can use the phone in an environment where it is easy to get a signal by moving from one place to another.

② Turn Airplane mode on/off
Turning communication off once and then on again may improve communication. Tap the Airplane icon in the Control Centre to switch it on and off.

③ Restart the device

Temporary problems with the device may be resolved by restarting the iPhone. For more information, see the official Apple page.
