■ What should you do if you get a message saying "You cannot add a mobile communication plan from this carrier"?

If you receive this error, the device may be one of the following: 


 1. locked by the carrier (SIM lock) 

 2. it is a CDMA device

 3. the device is on Apple's black list (stolen devices, etc.)


1. SIM lock 

 For SIM-locked devices, please refer to "How can I check SIM lock?  

 Also, please visit the following website to check the IMEI of your device. 


2. CDMA devices 

 Some carriers, such as Verizon and US Cellular, use CDMA networks, and phones purchased from these carriers or for their networks may not work on the GSM networks used in many regions. 


3. Blacklist 
 Please enter your device's IMEI number at the following site to see if it is on the blacklist.
