■ What should you do if you receive the message, "Unable to activate eSIM."

Modified on Sat, 23 Mar 2024 at 03:35 PM

If you are using iOS16, the following error message may appear during activation.

(1) Please confirm that eSIM activation (installation) is complete.

In some cases, the eSIM may have been successfully activated (installed) even though the above error message was displayed.

■How to check:

Please check the "Settings" -> "Cellular" screen on your iPhone.

In addition to the SIM of the carrier you usually use, Are there any other SIMs installed, such as "Sub Line," "Travel," "Mobile Data Communication," or "Work" as shown below? This may be the eSIM of Trifa. (* The name is randomly assigned by the iPhone.)

Check if it is a Triffa eSIM

・Check the "ICCID" to determine which eSIM is the Triffa eSIM.

・Open the Trifa app and go to "My eSIM" → Select a plan → Check the "ICCID" and "eSIM" on the usage status page.

・Please go to "Settings" -> "General" -> "About" on your iPhone, scroll down, and check the item marked "ICCID".

Open trifa app, select "My eSIM" > Compare the ICCID on your iPhone with the "ICCID" shown in the eSIM List.

**Keep in mind that the last digit on the iPhone's ICCID is a additional control number and can be ignored.

・If you have confirmed that the eSIM is from Trifa, please proceed to the SIM switchover settings.

(2) If activation has not been completed

・If you do not see the Trifa eSIM on the "Cellular" screen, restart your iPhone and try activating it again.
